Matthew Railey

Owner & Principal Agent, Agrilliance Insurance, Inc.

Matthew Railey brings over 25 years of crop insurance expertise and a lifelong connection to agriculture as the Owner and Principal Agent of Agrilliance Insurance, Inc., based in Winter Haven, Florida. Raised in a multi-generational farming family, Matthew understands the unique challenges growers face and is deeply committed to serving Florida’s agricultural community.

Under his leadership, Agrilliance provides personalized risk management solutions tailored to the needs of farmers and producers across the region. Known for his practical approach and trusted service, Matthew continues to build strong relationships rooted in integrity, resilience, and agricultural heritage.

A graduate of Winter Haven High School and the University of South Florida, Matthew remains dedicated to advancing American farming through strategic partnerships and community-focused service.

James Scarborough

James “Jay” Scarborough is a third-generation Florida cattle rancher with deep roots in Polk and Hardee Counties. Raised on the principles of hard work, integrity, and stewardship of the land, Jay has devoted his life to agriculture and rural law enforcement.

He served with distinction as a detective in the Agriculture Crimes Unit of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, where he worked tirelessly to protect Florida’s farming communities. After retiring from law enforcement, Jay returned to his agricultural roots and manages Magnatronix Cattle Ranch. Under his leadership, the ranch continues to thrive, known for its commitment to quality cattle and sustainable practices.

In addition to ranching, Jay serves as a crop insurance agent with Agrilliance, helping fellow farmers safeguard their livelihoods against the uncertainties of nature.
Jay and his wife Kamie have been married for 20 years and have two sons.

Jake Matteson

Jake Matteson is a fifth-generation citrus farmer and cattle rancher, proudly continuing a legacy of agriculture in Lake Wales, Florida. As the great-grandson of Ben Hill Griffin Jr., Jake was born into a family deeply rooted in Florida’s farming history.

Over the years, Jake has worked across many areas of the agricultural industry — including citrus, cattle, meat processing, and bamboo cultivation. Today, he combines his hands-on farming experience with his role as a crop insurance agent at Agrilliance, helping fellow producers protect their operations and plan for the future.

With a passion for preserving and evolving Florida agriculture, Jake brings both tradition and innovation to everything he does.

Thomas Thayer

Tommy is a 5th generation citrus grower/nurseryman. He graduated from the University of Florida with an FRE degree. He also swam for the Gators on a 4-year scholarship. In 1987 his father sent him to Europe to learn the export business with a company called Citrus Country Sales for 8 years, exporting Grapefruit to the Far East and Europe.

In 1996 his father put him into the nursery operation and he has been growing citrus trees for the citrus industry for almost 30 years. He currently owns citrus groves, blueberry farms and strawberry fields. 

Steven Fussell

Steven “Buddy” Fussell Jr is a third-generation Florida cattle rancher who has devoted his entire life to the cattle industry. With deep roots in ranching, he has developed a strong understanding of what it takes to build and sustain a successful cattle operation. Buddy’s lifetime of hands-on experience, combined with his passion for the industry, brings a wealth of practical knowledge and valuable insight to Agrilliance.

James Fussell

James “Jimmy” Fussell is a third-generation Florida cattleman who has spent most of his life deeply involved in every aspect of the agriculture industry. He operates a cow-calf ranch in Arcadia, is the owner of Fussell’s Meat, and also runs a successful hay operation. Beyond his business ventures, Jimmy has held a long-standing role with the Arcadia Rodeo, where he serves as one of the organizers and continues to support this historic community tradition.

Guided by his belief in Jesus Christ, family, hard work and the pursuit of success, Jimmy brings his dedication, experience, and entrepreneurial spirit to Agrilliance—strengthening the team with both practical ranching knowledge and proven leadership in agriculture.

Kaitlyn Wiant

Kaitlyn grew up on a cattle ranch, working alongside her dad and brother in the day-to-day operations. Her firsthand experience gives her a true understanding of the obstacles farmers and ranchers face. With a strong work ethic instilled at a young age, Kaitlyn brings dedication and authenticity to everything she does.

As a crop insurance agent, she provides producers with peace of mind by helping them protect their operations and manage risk with the right coverage. Kaitlyn takes pride in offering straightforward guidance and customized solutions tailored to each producer’s needs.

Justin Revels

Justin Revels is a fourth-generation cattle rancher whose roots run deep in the heart of Florida agriculture. Born and raised in the small town of Webster, Florida, Justin grew up on a ranch, where the values of hard work, stewardship, and community were not just taught—they were lived. From an early age, he learned livestock care, land management, and the enduring importance of agricultural resilience.

Today, Justin continues that legacy with pride and purpose. Alongside his wife and two children, he operates a thriving ranch that raises both commercial cattle and purebred Charolais and Red Angus. His approach to ranching blends time-honored techniques with modern practices, ensuring the health of his herd and the sustainability of the land they call home. Whether he’s selecting genetics to improve herd performance or managing pasture rotations, Justin brings precision, care, and a deep respect for nature to every aspect of his work.

In addition to his hands-on role in ranching, Justin serves as a crop insurance agent—a position that allows him to support fellow farmers and ranchers in safeguarding their livelihoods. His firsthand experience in agriculture gives him a unique perspective and credibility in the field, enabling him to guide clients through risk management with empathy and expertise. He understands the challenges producers face because he lives them, making him a trusted advisor and advocate within the agricultural community.

Chris Heptinstall

Chris’s journey in the cattle industry began in Blountsville, Alabama, at Debter Hereford Farms, where he developed a passion for production agriculture. That early experience shaped his career path and shifted his focus from medicine to livestock.

He earned a degree in Animal and Dairy Sciences from Auburn University, where he gained hands-on experience working with the university’s Bull Test and Beef Teaching Units. After graduating, Chris returned home to assist at Debter Hereford Farms before stepping into a leadership role as General Manager at the Alabama Farmer’s Cooperative in Oneonta. Over three years, he deepened his understanding of the industry while managing the Independent Co-op.

In 2006, Chris returned to ranch management as Operations Manager at the renowned Camp Cooley Ranch in Franklin, Texas—then the third-largest seedstock ranch in the country. His work there reinforced his commitment to large-scale, high-performance cattle operations.

Chris later served as General Manager at Salacoa Valley Farms in Fairmount, Georgia, where he played a key role in the farm’s acquisition by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Inc.—the sixth-largest cow/calf operation in the U.S. Under his leadership, Salacoa Valley grew to become the third-largest Brangus operation in the International Brangus Breeders Association and a proud member of Beef magazine’s Seedstock 100, selling over 500 bulls annually.

Today, Chris continues to serve the agricultural community as an Agrilliance crop insurance agent, helping producers protect their operations and livelihoods through trusted risk management solutions.

With decades of hands-on ranching experience and deep industry insight, Chris brings value, leadership, and a producer-first mindset to every operation of which he’s a part.

Jeff Albritton

Jeff Albritton is a dedicated leader whose career reflects over four decades of service and commitment. After proudly serving more than 20 years in the United States Military, Jeff transitioned to the agricultural sector, bringing his discipline, integrity, and strategic expertise to the world of crop insurance. For over 20 years, he has played a pivotal role at Stallings Crop Insurance, where he serves as Vice President. In this role, Jeff has helped protect farmers’ livelihoods, guided clients through complex insurance needs, and strengthened the company’s reputation for reliability and trust. His career is marked by a deep sense of service—both to his country and to the agricultural communities he supports.

Melissa Nichols

Melissa Nichols has been actively involved in the agriculture industry for more than 20 years. Throughout her career, she has served on numerous committees and boards, contributing her expertise to strengthen and support the agricultural community. Her deep knowledge of agriculture spans a wide range of areas, giving her the insight to serve producers with integrity and understanding.

In addition to her work in crop insurance with Agrilliance, Melissa is a dedicated cattle rancher. She and her family raise registered Brangus cattle, with her children successfully showing cattle at events nationwide. This hands-on experience not only reflects her passion for ranching but also allows her to connect personally with the challenges and opportunities that producers face every day.

Melissa combines her professional insurance expertise with real-world agricultural experience to provide clients with trusted guidance and long-term support.
